Nvidia and Wall Street Firms Mobilize $500 Billion for AI
Nvidia and six major Wall Street firms signed agreements to mobilize over $500 billion in capital to finance AI compute infrastructure.
Nvidia and six of the largest firms on Wall Street signed memorandums in August 2026 to mobilize more than $500 billion of outside capital to finance AI compute. This investment targets the entire technology stack necessary to train and run AI models, including chips, memory, networking, power, cooling, and software.
The initiative represents a fundamental shift in the business model for artificial intelligence. Rather than treating compute as a metered cloud service, the agreements move toward treating it as a tangible asset that firms can buy, finance, and carry on their balance sheets. The agreements remain subject to execution.
