Astorg and Montagu Explore €3 Billion Sale of Nemera
Astorg Partners and Montagu Private Equity are considering selling their majority stake in drug delivery manufacturer Nemera for approximately €3 billion.
Astorg Partners and Montagu Private Equity are consulting with advisers regarding the potential sale of their majority stake in Nemera, a French manufacturer of drug delivery devices. The private equity firms are exploring a transaction that could value the company at approximately €3 billion ($3.5 billion), with a formal sale process expected to launch in the coming months.
Nemera specializes in the production of pumps, pens, and auto-injectors used for insulin therapies and GLP-1 weight-loss medications, including Zepbound and Wegovy. To keep pace with high demand, the company is currently expanding its manufacturing footprint across Brazil, Poland, Germany, the United States, and France.
Despite this growth, the company faces emerging market pressure as pharmaceutical competitors develop pill-based versions of GLP-1 medications, which could reduce the long-term reliance on injectable delivery devices.
