Nevada Officials Promote Voter Turnout and Election Security

Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar and Mayor Shelley Berkley urged Nevada voters to utilize secure polling sites and in-person ballot drops for Election Day.

Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar and Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley gathered outside Las Vegas City Hall on Monday to encourage voter turnout for Election Day. With more than 730,000 ballots already cast statewide, the officials promoted accessible polling sites, including Las Vegas City Hall and Allegiant Stadium.

Aguilar advised voters to deliver mail ballots in person to avoid potential U.S. Postal Service delays. To ensure election integrity, the state upgraded its voter registration management system and implemented ballot marking devices. Aguilar noted that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ranks Nevada's election administration second nationwide and emphasized that noncitizen voting is a felony.

State officials are coordinating with Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill and local law enforcement to prevent voter intimidation and maintain safety at polling locations. Mayor Berkley advocated for maximizing participation, stating that those who want to participate should have the right to do so.
