Hyperliquid Token Outperforms Bitcoin and XRP in 2026
Hyperliquid token HYPE gained 128% since January 2026, significantly outperforming Bitcoin and XRP despite a recent 25% decline from its June peak.
A comparative analysis of cryptocurrency investments made on January 1, 2026, reveals that Hyperliquid significantly outperformed major assets Bitcoin and XRP over a seven-month period. A hypothetical $10,000 investment in the HYPE token grew to approximately $22,821, representing a 128% gain. This growth was driven by record platform growth and the HIP-3 upgrade, though the token has since declined 25% from its June peak of $73.56 and is currently testing a support level of $52.
In contrast, Bitcoin and XRP saw substantial losses. A $10,000 Bitcoin investment fell to $7,219, a 28% loss attributed to significant outflows from spot Bitcoin ETFs during May and June. XRP performed the worst of the three, with a $10,000 investment dropping to $5,425, a 45.8% loss.
XRP's decline was linked to a broader market sell-off and legislative instability in the United States. While the U.S. Senate Banking Committee cleared the CLARITY Act on May 14, the legislation subsequently stalled in the Senate in June, contributing to the asset's price drop.
