Fei-Fei Li Describes World Labs Leadership as Tiger Mom Style

Fei-Fei Li, a Stanford professor and co-founder of World Labs, describes her leadership style at the AI startup as that of a "tiger mom." In a Bloomberg interview, Li explained that she often adopts a parental and mentoring role because she is significantly more senior than her engineers, researchers, and co-founders.

Li maintains a demanding approach to achievement and high standards for her team, though she stated that being a CEO is about empowering people and contributing to society rather than possessing a "God complex."

Founded in 2024, World Labs develops world models to improve how artificial intelligence interacts with 3D environments. The company recently secured $1 billion in funding from investors including Nvidia, AMD, and Autodesk.
