Israel Defense Forces Kill Hamas Training Commander in Gaza
Israel Defense Forces killed Hamas training unit commander Fadi Falah Ashur Da'mesh and several other operatives in a series of strikes across northern Gaza.
The Israel Defense Forces eliminated Fadi Falah Ashur Da'mesh, the commander of Hamas' training unit, in an airstrike on Monday in the northern Gaza Strip. The military stated that Da'mesh led training for Nuhba formations in the years preceding the October 7 massacre and had recently attempted to restore Hamas organizational capabilities and promote new terrorist plots.
This operation followed a series of other strikes in the region. Over the weekend, the military targeted five terrorists in northern Gaza who were attempting to restore underground infrastructure west of the Yellow Line. That strike resulted in the death of Hudhayfah Hussein Abdullah al-Hawajri, a Nukhba terrorist with the East Jabalia Battalion. To minimize civilian casualties, the military used precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
Additionally, the military announced on Sunday that it killed two other Hamas operatives during the previous week: Nukhba Force platoon commander Muhammad Najib Ashour and military wing cell commander Tamer Saeed Abu Nakhal. Both were targeted for their roles in planning attacks against Israeli soldiers.
