Renault Appoints Carine Damois as New CFO
Renault appointed former Michelin executive Carine Damois as Chief Financial Officer to stabilize markets following a 30% decline in share price this year.
The Renault Group appointed Carine Damois as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective November. Damois, previously an executive at Michelin, replaces Duncan Minto, who is leaving the company to pursue professional opportunities outside the group.
Minto served as CFO since March 2025 and briefly acted as interim CEO after the departure of Luca de Meo and before the nomination of François Provost. Damois now takes over the responsibility of reassuring financial markets regarding the FutuReady strategy, a plan outlined by the company in March.
The leadership transition occurs during a period of financial volatility for the automaker. Renault shares have declined approximately 30% since the start of the year, a downturn that persists despite strong sales of the company's electric and hybrid vehicle models.
