Taiwan to Fund Billions for US AI Industrial Parks
The Government of the Republic of China plans to invest billions in U.S. industrial parks to build a supply chain for Nvidia and other AI hardware makers.
The Government of the Republic of China plans to raise billions of dollars to develop industrial parks in the United States, aiming to establish a comprehensive supply chain for Nvidia Inc. and other AI hardware manufacturers. The initiative will begin with the construction of a complex in Texas with an estimated cost of up to $4 billion.
Minister of Economic Affairs Kung Ming-hsin stated that these facilities are designed to support smaller suppliers. These smaller firms are considered essential to the operations of AI server assemblers such as Hon Hai Precision Industry and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., the primary production partner for Nvidia.
By funding these parks, Taiwan intends to help these critical suppliers establish operations within the U.S., ensuring a more stable and localized production ecosystem for the AI hardware industry.
