Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Ultra Models

Samsung Electronics launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, introducing a new foldable smartphone lineup. The standard Fold 8 features a squat, passport-like design that opens into a 7.6-inch OLED tablet display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, while the Ultra model maintains a more traditional shape.

Both devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and run One UI 9 based on Android 17. The hardware emphasizes multitasking and artificial intelligence, integrating Google's Gemini and Samsung's Now Nudge tool. While the Fold 8 provides strong battery life, it lacks a telephoto camera, utilizing only two 50MP rear cameras.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is priced starting at £1,699 ($1,899.99), with the Ultra model starting at £1,899 ($2,099.99).
