Sandoz to Pay $450 Million to Settle U.S. Pricing Litigation

Sandoz Group AG reached settlement agreements on Monday to resolve generic pricing litigation claims involving 43 U.S. states, territories, and indirect reseller plaintiffs. The Swiss pharmaceutical company will pay approximately $450 million in total to settle the disputes without admitting any wrongdoing.

Under the terms of the agreement, the company will pay $400 million over seven years starting in 2027 to the states and territories, along with approximately $50 million to states that had settled earlier. Sandoz also agreed to pay $28.5 million to resolve class-action litigation brought by indirect reseller plaintiffs.

Sandoz stated that these settlements will not impact its full-year 2026 guidance or mid-term outlook, although the company has increased its previously recognized provisions to account for the payments.
