Lenovo Announces IdeaPad Vibe to Compete With MacBook Neo

Lenovo announced the IdeaPad Vibe, a productivity laptop designed to compete directly with the MacBook Neo. Starting at $700, the device will be available in 14- and 15-inch sizes and seven colors, with options for custom-colored keycaps and a backlit keyboard.

The laptop features an all-metal chassis and a wide array of connectivity options, including USB-C charging, USB-A, HDMI 1.4, and a microSD card reader. Storage is handled via user-accessible dual-slot SSDs supporting up to 1TB.

Hardware configurations are staggered by processor type. Models featuring AMD Ryzen AI 400-series chips will launch in October with up to 32GB of user-upgradeable RAM. Versions powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips will follow in November with up to 24GB of RAM, while Intel-based versions are planned for a later date.

Display options include standard IPS LCD panels, though touchscreen OLED upgrades are available specifically for the gray and blue models.
