Sony Launches ULT Tower Party Speaker Lineup

Sony expanded its ULT Power Sound series with three new high-bass party speakers tuned by hip-hop producers and audio engineers.

Sony expanded its ULT Power Sound lineup with the release of three new party speakers: the ULT Tower Max, ULT Tower 7, and ULT Tower 5. The series is designed for high bass output and DJ applications, featuring newly developed large circular woofers.

To optimize performance, the company tuned the speakers with input from hip-hop sound creators and audio engineers, including producer Dot Da Genius, drummer Daru Jones, DJ Dready, and Dennis ROC.am Jones. Each model includes a customizable ULT button that allows users to toggle between four sound profiles: ULT1, ULT2, Live, and Flat.

The flagship ULT Tower Max replaces the ULT Tower 10, delivering 2,150 watts of power with a retail price of approximately $1,500. The mid-range ULT Tower 7 replaces the SRS-XV800, offering 420 watts of output for roughly $650. The entry-level ULT Tower 5 replaces the SRS-XV500, providing 300 watts of power for approximately $450. The speakers are available through Sony, Amazon, and Best Buy.
