Golar LNG Acquires Grace Dahlia for Fourth FLNG Facility

Golar LNG Limited acquired the LNG carrier Grace Dahlia from NYK Line to convert it into a fourth floating liquefied natural gas facility by 2029.

Golar LNG Limited acquired the LNG carrier Grace Dahlia from NYK Line to serve as the foundation for its fourth floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility. The vessel, originally built in 2013, possesses an LNG storage capacity of 177,427 cubic meters, which is roughly 20% larger than the capacity of the FLNG Esperanza currently under construction.

The conversion process will take place at the CIMC Raffles Yantai shipyard in China. Golar LNG expects the completed FLNG #4 to be redelivered in 2029. The company stated that the increased storage capacity will provide customers with greater offloading flexibility while the project utilizes a repeat MKII design.
