Honda Cars India Reports 10.1% July Sales Increase

Honda Cars India reported total sales of 8,284 units in July 2026, representing a 10.1% increase over the same month in 2025. The growth was fueled by a 48.5% surge in domestic sales to 6,014 units, which offset a decline in exports, which dropped to 2,270 units from 3,474 units the previous year.

For the period from April to July in FY2027, the company achieved an overall growth rate of 27.1%, with total sales reaching 29,863 vehicles. Kunal Behl credited the domestic gains to the introduction of the New City and Honda ZR-V, as well as consistent demand for the Elevate and Amaze models.

To maintain this trajectory, the company plans to introduce 10 new cars in the Indian market by 2030. This expansion will cover internal combustion, hybrid, and electric powertrains, with a dedicated electric SUV scheduled for 2027 and two additional SUVs slated for release starting in 2028.
