Samsung Fixes Galaxy S26 Ultra Red Tint Issue

Samsung is issuing a software-based color calibration update to fix a red tint appearing on Galaxy S26 Ultra displays caused by high-brightness exposure.

Samsung Electronics confirmed that a red tint affecting Galaxy S26 Ultra displays is the result of a software issue rather than hardware failure or OLED deterioration. The company determined that the discoloration occurs when devices are exposed to strong lighting at maximum brightness for extended periods, a condition frequently found in retail environments.

Samsung stated that the display itself continues to function normally and the issue is a matter of color balance. Because the problem is not a physical defect, the company is developing a software-based color calibration update to restore uniform balance across the screen, eliminating the need for display panel replacements.

Affected users are currently required to visit Samsung service centers to receive the fix. The company plans to distribute the calibration update broadly to all users at a later date.
