Leaked iPhone 18 Pro Max Battery Capacity Increases

Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 18 Pro Max next month with a significant increase in battery capacity, according to leaked images from China. The specifications indicate that the eSIM-only variant will feature a 5,567 mAh battery, while the physical SIM model for the Chinese market will have 5,391 mAh. These figures represent a 9 percent to 12 percent increase over the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In contrast, the iPhone 18 Pro will receive only a marginal upgrade. Its battery capacities are expected to be 4,288 mAh for eSIM models and 4,056 mAh for physical SIM models, marking a 1 percent to 2 percent increase. The iPhone 18 Pro Max will launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and a new iPhone Ultra.

While the larger batteries may make the Pro Max heavier and thicker, the devices will feature a 2nm fabricated chip that may influence overall battery performance.
