Nvidia Corp. Invests Up to $3 Billion in Lancium

Nvidia Corp. is investing up to $3 billion in power infrastructure developer Lancium to support data center expansion and a potential 2027 public offering.

Nvidia Corp. plans to invest up to $3 billion in Lancium, a power infrastructure developer backed by Blackstone Inc. The deal begins with a $2 billion investment for an approximately 20% stake in the company, with an additional $1 billion contingent on Lancium meeting specific thresholds, such as grid hookups.

The investment values Lancium's enterprise, including its land and power connections, at roughly $10 billion. Lancium operates the 1,000-acre Lancium Clean Campus in Abilene, Texas, which serves as the first operational site for the Stargate initiative, a data center joint venture involving SoftBank Group, OpenAI Group PBC, and Oracle Corp.

This capital infusion is intended to support the expansion of Lancium's operations as the company considers an initial public offering in 2027.
