iPhone 18 Pro Burgundy Models Report Color Fading

Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max users report discoloration around the rear cameras, primarily affecting the Burgundy model.

Owners of the newly released iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are reporting a discoloration issue where the device color fades over time. The problem is most prominent on the Burgundy model, with fading appearing specifically around the three rear cameras rather than across the entire back of the device.

Users claim the fading is not caused by dirt, grease, or physical damage. Some speculate that heat generated by the cameras during use may be the cause of the discoloration. Apple Inc. has not yet commented on the reports.

This development follows a similar issue with the iPhone 17 Pro orange model last year. In that instance, the company provided free replacements for affected units.
