Leeds Bradford Airport Issues Red Card Passenger Warnings

Leeds Bradford Airport launched a red card social media campaign to warn passengers against intoxication, improper luggage packing and staff abuse.

Leeds Bradford Airport issued a series of red card alerts via social media to notify passengers of unacceptable behaviors at the West Yorkshire facility. The guidelines target several high-risk or disruptive actions, including boarding aircraft while intoxicated and smoking or vaping in toilets, which the airport stated causes evacuations. Other prohibited behaviors include verbal abuse of staff, allowing children to play near luggage belts, and opening duty-free items on board planes.

The airport explicitly warns against arriving only 30 minutes before a flight and prohibits packing vapes or batteries in hold luggage. These luggage restrictions reference UK Civil Aviation Authority rules, while the warnings against intoxication and staff abuse cite the Air Navigation Order 2016 and the Public Order Act 1986, respectively.

To avoid these issues, the airport advises passengers to be checked in and ready for security at least two hours before their scheduled departure.
