Leaked Database Reveals Google Pixel 12 Series Specifications
Google is developing a four-model Pixel 12 smartphone series for a projected August 2027 launch, featuring display upgrades for the Pro Fold model.
Leaked data from the GSMA IMEI database indicates that Google has begun development on the Pixel 12 smartphone series, which is expected to launch in August 2027. The lineup will reportedly consist of four models: the Pixel 12, Pixel 12 Pro, Pixel 12 Pro XL, and Pixel 12 Pro Fold. The devices are being tested with Android 18 to optimize hardware and software integration.
Specifications for the Pixel 12 Pro Fold show a significant inner display resolution increase to 2296 x 2404, up from the 2076 x 2152 resolution of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Analysis suggests this upgrade will provide higher pixel density—approximately 415 PPI if the 8-inch screen size is maintained—positioning the device between the iPhone Duo and the Galaxy Z Fold8 in terms of sharpness.
While early rumors suggested resolution upgrades across the entire lineup, subsequent data indicates that the three slab models—the Pixel 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro XL—will maintain resolutions similar to the Pixel 11 series. Some analysis further suggests these slab models may actually have marginally shorter screens, losing between 24 and 40 rows of pixels. Google has not confirmed these specifications.
