Poland Considers Sending More Patriot Missiles to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Poland is considering the transfer of a new batch of Patriot missiles to Ukraine, with a final decision expected in the coming days. This potential move follows a confirmed delivery of five PAC-3 missiles in July.

Deputy Minister of National Defense Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka stated that the government is weighing the decision against national security needs and is conducting talks with NATO and the United States. The initiative is driven by a recent incident where a Russian missile entered Polish airspace. Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reportedly prefers that such missiles be intercepted over Ukrainian territory to prevent them from crossing into Poland.

However, the transfer may be limited. Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously indicated that further deliveries could be constrained by Poland's own restricted missile stocks.
