Alberta Separatist Jeffrey Rath Faces Court Over Frozen Assets

Jeffrey Rath, a prominent spokesperson for the Alberta separatist movement, is appearing for a court review on July 15, 2026, at the Calgary Court Centre. The proceedings follow an interim injunction granted by Justice Michael Marion, which froze up to $8.5 million in assets held by Rath.

The legal dispute focuses on a multimillion-dollar trust fund. The Tallcree First Nation alleges that Rath, who previously served as their lawyer, misappropriated millions of dollars from the fund. These allegations remain untested in court.
