Ogun State Indigenes in Enugu Endorse PDP Ticket

Ogun State indigenes living in Enugu held a reception on Friday for Hajia Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship Candidate. The group endorsed the PDP ticket of Oladipupo Adebutu and Sowunmi-Kolapo for the 2027 general elections.

Led by Chairman Dr. Lekan Oladapo, the group criticized the current state of development in Ogun State. Oladapo specifically cited a lack of infrastructure and a failure to generate revenue through tourism and herbal product exports. He stated that "Ogun State, by all standards, is not where it should be, to be candid."

The group vowed to work toward removing the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power to establish what they described as good governance. Oladapo added that the group has "vowed to get it right in the 2027 general elections."
