Georgia Voters Enter Final Week Before November 3 Election
Georgia voters begin the final week of preparation for the November 3 election with early in-person voting available through October 30.
Voters in Georgia have entered the final week of preparation before the November 3 Election Day. Early in-person voting remains available through October 30 at any location within a voter's county, while those voting on Election Day must attend their assigned precinct between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Several key deadlines have already passed, including the October 5 cutoff to register or update addresses and the October 23 deadline to request absentee ballots. To be counted, completed absentee ballots must reach the county registrar by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
State law requires photo identification for all in-person voting. For citizens who lack the necessary documentation, the state provides free voter identification cards. Additionally, eligible employees are permitted by law to take up to two hours of time off to vote, provided they give their employer reasonable notice.
