Digi Spain Telecom Raises EUR 287 Million in Spanish IPO
Digi Spain Telecom launched its initial public offering on July 16, raising approximately EUR 287 million to expand its fiber-optic and mobile infrastructure in Spain.
Digi Spain Telecom commenced trading on the Spanish Stock Exchanges on July 16, 2026, under the ticker symbol DIGIS. The initial public offering raised approximately EUR 287 million, consisting of EUR 150 million from new shares and EUR 137 million from existing shares sold by Digi Romania. The offering price was set at EUR 5.60 per share, with an initial market capitalization of approximately EUR 1.7 billion.
Demand for the IPO was high, reaching nearly EUR 1.3 billion from family offices and investment funds, which was more than four times the target goal of EUR 330 million. A significant anchor investment of EUR 100 million was provided by the Domínguez de la Maza family. The parent company, Digi Communications, retains an 80% stake in the subsidiary and intends to use the proceeds to expand proprietary telecommunications infrastructure and its customer base. The company does not plan to distribute dividends until at least 2030.
As the fourth-largest operator in Spain, Digi Spain serves 11.4 million revenue-generating units and expects annual revenues to exceed EUR 1 billion in 2026. The listing, the first for a Romanian company on the Spanish capital market, was inaugurated with a bell-ringing ceremony at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace. Executives described the debut as a turning point for the company's growth and a validation of its business model in one of Europe's most competitive markets.
