Eli Lilly Reports Record $23 Billion Revenue and Partners With Nvidia

Eli Lilly reported record second-quarter revenue of $23 billion and announced a $1 billion joint AI lab with Nvidia to accelerate drug discovery.

Eli Lilly and Company reported record-breaking second-quarter results, with revenue surging 48% year-over-year to $23 billion. This figure exceeded Wall Street estimates of $20.7 billion, driven largely by the company's GLP-1 franchise. Mounjaro became the world's best-selling drug with $9.9 billion in quarterly sales, while Zepbound generated $4.9 billion.

Net income for the period reached $7.1 billion, with adjusted earnings per share at $8.38. Based on these results, the company raised its full-year revenue guidance to a range between $85 billion and $87 billion.

To secure future growth, the company is establishing a joint AI lab with Nvidia, committing up to $1 billion over five years. The partnership intends to use AI infrastructure, funded by current GLP-1 cash flows, to accelerate drug discovery and optimize manufacturing processes across various therapeutic areas.
