Poland Investigates Possible Sabotage at WB Electronics Drone Plant

Polish security services are investigating a fire that broke out shortly after midnight on Monday at a facility owned by WB Electronics SA, the largest drone producer in Poland. The site, which produces drone components, experienced a fire that local police report was preceded by a triggered anti-theft alarm. Evidence suggests an incendiary device inside a backpack may have been thrown through a broken window.

Special services coordinator Jacek Dobrzynski stated that the investigation is a priority because the plant is important to national security, specifically noting that the company supplies drones to Ukraine. Dobrzynski indicated that intelligence officials are involved in the matter to determine if the incident was an act of sabotage or caused by other means.

A company spokesman confirmed that the fire was extinguished quickly and production at the facility has already resumed.
