Savers Value Village Launches ThriftIQ AI Pricing Platform

Savers Value Village launched ThriftIQ, an AI-powered pricing tool for apparel designed to increase pricing consistency and reduce manual labor across its store network.

Savers Value Village launched ThriftIQ on Thursday, a proprietary AI-powered pricing platform for men's and women's apparel. Developed in collaboration with Kaizen Analytix using two years of proprietary data, the tool aims to reduce manual pricing labor and increase consistency across the company's store network.

The platform has processed over 25 million items across 45,000 brands at 58 pilot locations. Pilot results show higher unit sell-through and larger basket sizes, while maintaining prices 40% to 70% below traditional retail. The company plans to double the number of pilot stores by the end of the year and complete a full network rollout by early 2028.

Chief Executive Officer Mark Walsh clarified that the system is not used for dynamic pricing, stating, "It's not dynamic pricing, and once those garments are priced and tagged, that tag doesn't change."

The launch coincides with the company's second-quarter financial report, which showed total net sales rising 7.4% to $448.2 million and net income reaching $21.6 million. Chief Financial Officer Jack Maher has integrated the expected impact of the tool into the company's 2026 guidance.
