The CE Shop Launches AI-Resistant Career Assessment Tool

Professional education provider The CE Shop has released the Career Clarity Profile, a free assessment designed to help individuals determine their suitability for licensed, in-person careers. Developed in collaboration with neuroscientist Terry Wu, the tool focuses on professions such as real estate, mortgage lending, and home inspection, which the company identifies as economically resilient to AI automation.

Terry Wu asserts that these roles are protected because they provide essential safety signals and stress regulation through human presence during high-stakes decision-making. He argues that the human brain is wired to co-regulate anxiety with other people, a neurological response that algorithms and chatbots cannot replicate. This focus on human-centric roles comes amid rising AI anxiety among workers and a broader decline in genuine human contact, as noted in a 2023 U.S. Surgeon General advisory on social isolation.

The assessment evaluates five dimensions of career readiness, including social support and control. Rather than diagnosing stress levels, the tool identifies existing personal resources to determine if a candidate is well-suited for the interpersonal demands of these specific licensed professions.
