Ubisoft Grants Free PC Versions of 13 Xbox Games

Ubisoft partnered with Xbox to give console owners free PC versions of 13 titles, including Assassin's Creed Mirage and Far Cry 6, via a progressive rollout.

Ubisoft partnered with Xbox to provide free PC versions of 13 digital titles to players who own them on Xbox consoles. The eligible catalog includes Assassin's Creed Mirage, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Watch Dogs Legion, and Star Wars Outlaws.

New purchasers of these titles receive both the console and PC versions immediately. For existing owners, the PC versions are being distributed through a progressive rollout ending August 4. While the initiative follows the logic of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, the offer is one-way; owning a PC version does not grant a free Xbox console copy. Access is granted through the Ubisoft Connect launcher, though some reports indicate integration via the Xbox PC app.

Most premium editions and downloadable content transfer to the PC versions, though in-game currencies and consumable items are excluded. The collaboration coincides with strong performance for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, which sold over 3 million copies in its first week.
