President William Ruto leads the early race for the 2027 Kenyan presidency with 31 percent support, according to a public opinion poll conducted by Swiss Poll International. Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka follows in second place with 22 percent of the general electorate's support.
The survey highlights a fragmented opposition, though Musyoka maintains the strongest claim to lead the anti-Ruto bloc with 41 percent support among those voters. Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna follows with 26 percent support among the opposition, showing particular strength with voters aged 18 to 35. Former Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i holds 17 percent support within the same group.
A hypothetical opposition ticket consisting of Musyoka as President, Sifuna as Deputy President, and Matiang’i as Chief Cabinet Secretary emerged as the most popular combination, garnering 44 percent support. Approximately 16 percent of the general electorate remains undecided.
