London Councils Receive Diverse September Planning Applications

The Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council and Brent Council received a series of planning applications during the first week of September 2026, ranging from minor residential modifications to larger infrastructure projects.
In Barking and Dagenham, the proposals focused on residential improvements. These included roof alterations to create habitable accommodation on Baron Road, a single-storey rear extension on Sterry Road, and insulation works on Hewett Road.
Brent Council processed a broader array of requests. Residential applications included extensions and roof alterations in Wembley and Harrow. Infrastructure projects featured the first phase of a district-heating network on Kilburn Park Road and the replacement of a 15-meter telecommunication mast with a 20-meter monopole on Dudden Hill Lane.
Additional applications in Brent included a request to convert a property on Hirst Crescent into a place of worship and community centre, as well as a proposal to remove opening time restrictions for The Manor Health Club.
