Tom Homan Announces Increased Immigration Enforcement in Maine

Border Czar Tom Homan announced that Maine will see increased immigration enforcement following a visit to the state's northern border to meet with officials from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Speaking at an event in Alexandria Bay, New York, on August 18, Homan stated that the administration is currently revetting refugees. He specifically noted that individuals in Maine holding Temporary Protected Status (TPS) will not be in the country much longer.

These enforcement plans follow a ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States that supports the administration's efforts to terminate the legal immigration status of hundreds of thousands of individuals from Syria and Haiti.
