Ilham Aliyev Outlines Strategic Investment Sectors for Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev identified key sectors for foreign investment during the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum. He emphasized the importance of developing infrastructure that serves multinational interests, specifically highlighting transportation, logistics, and electric transmission lines.

Aliyev stated that physical infrastructure, such as bridges, piers, and vessels, must be paired with digitalization and improved customs administration to ensure cargo handling remains efficient and competitive. He warned that without addressing these trends, the country would lose its competitive edge.

Regarding energy infrastructure, the president characterized the potential for electric transmission lines as having "huge potential" for international investors.
