Nava Commissions 100 MW Solar Plant in Zambia

Nava entered the renewable energy sector by commissioning a 100 MW solar power plant in Zambia. The project was executed through its step-down subsidiary, Maamba Solar Energy, and has already begun evacuating power to the Zambian national grid.

To secure the long-term financial viability of the facility, Maamba Solar Energy signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with ZESCO, the national power utility of Zambia. Under the terms of this agreement, ZESCO will purchase the entirety of the electricity generated by the plant.
