Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Congratulate Vietnam on Independence Day

To Lam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, received official congratulatory messages from the leaders of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on September 2, 2026, to mark Vietnam's Independence Day.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan sent wishes for peace, progress, and prosperity to the Vietnamese people. In a separate letter, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan praised the international standing and economic development of Vietnam.

Aliyev highlighted the "traditions of mutual respect, trust and friendship" between the two nations. He expressed confidence that continued joint efforts would strengthen cooperation across several sectors, specifically citing trade, energy, transport, and education.
