BJP Karnataka President Accuses State Government of Systemic Corruption
B Y Vijayendra accused the Congress-led Karnataka government of operating a corruption network where ministers accept bribes behind closed doors.
BJP Karnataka State President B Y Vijayendra accused the Congress-led state government of operating a systemic corruption network on October 8, 2026. Speaking in Gadag, Vijayendra alleged that ministers accept bribes behind closed doors with their mobile phones switched off to avoid detection.
Vijayendra demanded that Chief Minister D K Shivakumar identify the individuals managing this system and clarify which agencies are conducting sting operations within the state. He claimed an influential leader recently attempted to double a bribe demand from real estate businessmen and threatened those who refused to leave the state. He further alleged that Hindu activists, seers, and BJP workers are facing intimidation.
Regarding the upcoming Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections, Vijayendra noted that while discussions have occurred with Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, the BJP has not yet reached a final decision on a potential alliance with the JD(S).
