BJP Organizes Tiranga Yatra in Shimla for Independence Day

The Himachal Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party organized a Tiranga Yatra in Shimla on August 8 to commemorate India's 80th Independence Day. The march began in the CTO area, passed through Sher-e-Punjab, and concluded at the Mahatma Gandhi statue on Mall Road.

Led by Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and Member of Parliament Suresh Kashyap, the event aimed to honor soldiers and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country. The yatra served as a local component of a larger nationwide effort by the party to mark the anniversary through patriotic celebrations and marches intended to promote national unity and brotherhood.
