Robert Kocharyan Accuses Nikol Pashinyan of Dismantling Armenian Statehood

Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government of dismantling the foundations of Armenian statehood. In a message released on September 21 to mark the 35th anniversary of Armenia's independence, Kocharyan claimed the current administration has abandoned national goals and departed from the country's historical course.

Kocharyan specifically cited the loss of Artsakh and alleged that the government is making sovereignty concessions to Azerbaijan under "false peace slogans." He characterized the leadership as being driven by "lust for power, adventurism and ignorance," asserting that Armenia has become a focal point for the conflicts of major powers.

Calling for the Armenian people to rediscover a "true path" to regain independence, Kocharyan argued that the government's actions have weakened the nation's ability to protect its interests. He warned that the pillars of statehood are being dismantled while the administration complies with humiliating demands.
