Jacqui Lambie Condemns One Nation Cartoon Mocking Health Battle

Senator Jacqui Lambie and other political leaders condemned a One Nation cartoon that used her struggle with vaginal prolapse as a punchline.

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie condemned a political cartoon released by the One Nation party that mocked her struggle with vaginal prolapse. The animation, part of Pauline Hanson's 'Please Explain' series, used Lambie's health condition as a recurring punchline following an emotional Senate speech she gave in August regarding the condition and the lack of care for female veterans.

Lambie described the content as nastiness and accused Hanson of stirring up hatred and pushing the country toward "bloody anarchy." While she called on the men within Hanson's team to request the video's removal, Lambie stated she would not demand its removal herself.

The cartoon also targeted other political figures, depicting Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as attempting to end free speech and portraying Treasurer Jim Chalmers as poorly managing the economy. It further mocked Liberal MP Andrew Hastie, labeling him a "traitor" for testifying in the defamation trial of Ben Roberts-Smith.

Industry Minister Tim Ayres and independent MP Monique Ryan joined the criticism, labeling the video as cruel personal humiliation and cheap political propaganda. The One Nation series used the animation to criticize the Albanese government's Digital Duty of Care bill, which seeks to regulate digital platforms and online safety. While some social media users praised the video as satire, critics argued it crossed a line into personal cruelty.
