Pakistan and Azerbaijan Congratulate Kyrgyzstan on 35th Independence Anniversary

Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, received formal congratulatory messages from the leaders of Pakistan and Azerbaijan on August 31, 2026, to mark the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence.

President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan sent a letter highlighting the mutual trust and shared history between the two nations. Zardari referenced recent diplomatic engagements, including his own visit to Kyrgyzstan in July 2026 and President Zhaparov's visit to Pakistan in December 2025.

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan also extended congratulations, describing the relationship between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan as having reached the level of an alliance. Aliyev praised the nation's statehood and socio-economic progress, noting that a recent state visit established a new chapter of cooperation between the two countries.
