Thousands of Gaza Patients Await Medical Evacuation
The World Health Organization reports thousands of Gaza patients still require evacuation as casualty figures continue to rise despite an active ceasefire.
Thousands of patients in the Gaza Strip require medical evacuation despite a ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025. The World Health Organization reports that 12,913 patients, including 6,186 children, have been evacuated since October 2023, accompanied by approximately 16,000 companions. Current evacuations occur three to four times per week; between August 2 and August 8, 101 patients and 164 companions were moved.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Health of Gaza reports that Israeli attacks have killed 1,258 people and wounded 4,145 others since the ceasefire began. These figures contribute to a total death toll of 73,386 and 174,256 injuries resulting from Israeli attacks since October 2023.
