VAST Data and Hyperfusion Partner for Modular AI Infrastructure
VAST Data and Hyperfusion are integrating the VAST AI Operating System into modular, transportable data centers to accelerate sovereign AI deployment.
The data platform provider VAST Data and infrastructure firm Hyperfusion have partnered to integrate the VAST AI Operating System into the Sentinel modular AI infrastructure. The collaboration targets the acceleration of sovereign, production AI inference by utilizing factory-built, transportable data centers that can be deployed in weeks, bypassing the years-long wait times associated with conventional data center construction.
Hyperfusion's Sentinel platform packages a complete AI data center into a 45-foot ISO High Cube unit equipped with 96 GPUs. For larger requirements, the company offers the HyperPod system for multi-megawatt deployments. The integrated offering emphasizes data sovereignty, ensuring data remains in-country and under customer control through a single global namespace.
The companies are initiating joint go-to-market activities and technical validation of the VAST AI OS within the Sentinel and HyperPod architectures. They are also exploring the development of a common control plane to manage these distributed deployments.
