Parnassus Core Equity Fund Exits Boston Scientific Position
Parnassus Core Equity Fund sold its stake in Boston Scientific Corporation following growth slowdowns in key medical device business lines.
The Parnassus Core Equity Fund exited its position in Boston Scientific Corporation during the second quarter of 2026. In an investor letter, the fund stated that the medical device manufacturer detracted from performance because growth slowed in two primary business areas: the electrophysiology franchise and the Watchman heart implant used for reducing stroke risk.
The fund attributed the decline to increasing competition and mixed results from clinical trials. As of August 13, 2026, Boston Scientific Corporation held a market capitalization of approximately $74.91 billion, with shares closing at $51.42.
