Oura and Whoop Prepare for Public Offerings

Oura Health Oy and Whoop are preparing for initial public offerings as investor interest grows in AI-integrated health and fitness wearables.

Oura Health Oy and Whoop are preparing for initial public offerings to capitalize on growing investor interest in AI-integrated health and fitness wearables. Oura is seeking a U.S. listing as early as September, aiming to raise up to $3 billion with a potential valuation exceeding $16 billion.

Whoop is on track for an IPO in approximately 18 months. The company reached a $10 billion valuation following a $575 million funding round in March and is currently doubling the size of its Boston headquarters to support growth.

Both companies employ subscription-based business models to maintain predictable cash flow. Whoop offers membership plans starting at $199 annually, while Oura charges a $399 hardware fee combined with a $5.99 monthly membership. To improve user retention, both firms are integrating AI agents to analyze biometric data and provide personalized health feedback.
