The Government of Armenia has initiated preliminary discussions in the National Assembly regarding the 2027 state budget draft. The proposed financial plan projects state revenues of 3.603 trillion drams against expenditures of 4.072 trillion drams, creating an estimated budget deficit of approximately 468.2 billion drams.
To cover the shortfall, the government plans to secure 280.7 billion drams through external financing and 187.5 billion drams from domestic sources. The draft allocates the largest share of spending to the social sector, while expecting the majority of revenue to come from state duties and tax receipts.
Accompanying macroeconomic forecasts project an economic growth rate of 5.8 percent for 2027. Parliamentary committee discussions are scheduled to continue until November 11, with the budget set for a plenary session beginning November 17.
