BharathCloud Launches First AI-Ready Sovereign Cloud Centre in Hyderabad
BharathCloud launched its first AI-ready sovereign cloud centre in Hyderabad, kicking off a $100 million plan to build India-wide digital infrastructure.
BharathCloud launched its first AI-ready sovereign cloud centre at the CtrlS Datacenters Hyderabad DC1 facility on May 19, marking the initial step in a $100 million investment plan spanning five years. The facility was formally inaugurated by Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO of CtrlS Datacenters. The launch targets the growing demand for secure, scalable digital infrastructure to support AI workloads and data localization across India.
BharathCloud's expansion roadmap covers major metro cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, and Pune, along with Tier-II and Tier-III cities. JLL served as the exclusive advisor for the transaction. BharathCloud emphasized that CtrlS' world-class digital infrastructure capabilities make them an ideal partner in building India's most trusted AI-ready sovereign cloud ecosystem.
Sridhar Pinnapureddy noted that India's AI and digital growth story will require resilient, secure, and sovereign digital infrastructure at scale. JLL highlighted that the collaboration reflects the growing global demand for secure, scalable, and AI-ready cloud infrastructure. The partnership between BharathCloud and CtrlS positions both companies to capture rising enterprise demand for localized, sovereign cloud services as AI adoption accelerates across the Indian market.
