TEGNA and Disney Renew ABC Affiliation for 13 Stations

TEGNA Inc. and Disney Entertainment Television signed a comprehensive, multi-year agreement on October 13, 2026, to renew station affiliation agreements for 13 ABC-affiliated stations across the United States. The deal ensures that local stations in markets including Dallas, Austin, Sacramento, and Memphis continue to broadcast ABC national news, entertainment series such as Grey’s Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars, and sports coverage for the NFL and NBA.

Patrick Paolini, CEO of TEGNA, stated that the partnership provides viewers with a programming lineup anchored by local news. Susi D’Ambra-Coplan, SVP of Affiliate Relations at Disney Entertainment Television, noted the companies' shared commitment to pairing trusted local journalism with national entertainment and sports.

TEGNA currently operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, Inc., though it maintains independent operations under a court order.
