SpaceX Launches Grok AI Forum Ahead of First Public Earnings
SpaceX established an AI-powered forum for shareholder questions before reporting its first public quarterly earnings and facing a major stock lock-up expiration.
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. established an online forum using its Grok AI tool to collect shareholder questions in preparation for its first quarterly earnings call as a public company. The company is scheduled to report Q2 earnings on Tuesday, with analysts from Morgan Stanley predicting a $1.7 billion loss.
While the forum was designed to gather inquiries for executive Elon Musk, it has been flooded with memes and promotions for a cryptocurrency called Baby Asteroid. Despite the distractions, some investors submitted substantive questions regarding NASA moon contracts, orbital refueling for Starship, and a potential merger with Tesla.
The company faces additional financial volatility as its first lock-up period expires on August 6. This event will make approximately $100 billion in stock available for trade, potentially causing significant stock price upheaval.
