Piper Sandler in Talks to Acquire Perella Weinberg Partners
Piper Sandler is negotiating the acquisition of advisory firm Perella Weinberg Partners to expand its investment banking capabilities.
Piper Sandler is in talks to acquire advisory firm Perella Weinberg Partners. The investment bank, which holds a market value of approximately $5 billion and reported $1.9 billion in revenue last year, is seeking to combine with the smaller firm, which has a market value of around $1.4 billion.
Perella Weinberg Partners has experienced a decline in overall revenue, dropping from a record $878 million in 2024 to approximately $750 million in 2025. This financial trend has placed pressure on the firm's shares in recent months. Despite the revenue dip, the advisory firm recently played a role in major transactions, including BlackRock's acquisitions of Global Infrastructure Partners and HPS Investment Partners.
Discussions between the two firms remain ongoing. While sources indicate a deal could be finalized soon, the acquisition is not yet official.
